If you want to know (and as a switched-on web master, you would want to know) who visited your site, where they live, what operating system and browser they have, what pages they visited, how long they stayed, where they got the link to your site from, what websites are sending you visitors, and much more, then Google Analytics is for you! And what does it cost? Absolutely nothing!

Getting a Google Analytics account

Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ and click on Sign Up Now. Follow the simple instructions to open an Analytics account.
