In this chapter, we have covered the different resources you can use to extend your VMware vSphere skills and looked at how to build your own vSphere lab. We have covered some approaches you can take to build your lab, including running the lab on your laptop, cloud-based solutions, and physical servers in the data center. You have also learned the pros and cons of each solution.
After that, we covered the building blocks of the lab. We looked at the network, the storage design, and which software and licenses you need. Finally, we provided you with a blueprint of what the lab might look like, and you learned how to set up the entire lab infrastructure by yourself.
