Part 3 – Administration and Data Management
This part of the book will focus on the non-functional aspects of MongoDB. We will learn how to monitor and secure our data and how to avoid data loss in the event of a catastrophic failure. We will learn about different underlying storage options and how to perform administration tasks in MongoDB clusters. Finally, MongoDB tooling will cover the MongoDB Atlas ecosystem of tools and the equivalent options we have if we decide to host our clusters on-premises or through our own cloud provider.
This part contains the following chapters:
- Chapter 9, Monitoring, Backup, and Security
- Chapter 10, Managing Storage Engines
- Chapter 11, MongoDB Tooling
- Chapter 12, Harnessing Big Data with MongoDB
