In this chapter, we briefly looked at the JavaFX 3D API and learned some basic 3D concepts; camera, light, and materials. The JavaFX 3D API is not very developed yet, but it allows users to build moderately complex 3D demos and games that work with acceptable performance, and can utilize users' graphics cards.
We reviewed two important approaches to presenting 3D scenes to the viewer; moving the camera and using an animation.
This was our last chapter about the API. In the next chapter, I'll describe other resources and topics you may use in the further mastering of JavaFX.
