In this chapter, we'll introduce cybersecurity resources and best practices when working with the ControlLogix platform. Cybersecurity is a vast topic and requires the coordination of multiple teams, technologies, and processes. Rockwell Automation has been working for many years to support ICS cybersecurity through consulting and numerous product features that support ICS cybersecurity. Analyzing all aspects of ICS security and all of Rockwell's ICS cybersecurity offerings is well outside the scope of this book. However, we will detail the best practices and cybersecurity tools as they specifically pertain to Logix control systems. We will also demonstrate where we can find Rockwell product critical updates and security patch information, as well as the security features that are available in the Logix platform.
