Understanding the global template
Custom-developed reports are to be considered as an asset of your organization. You should be able to leverage not only your own earlier custom reports but also those shared by other managers too.
Reports and other assets are shared through Project's global template. Remember that there are two types of templates within Project: project-level local templates and global templates. In Chapter 18, Reviewing Projects and Creating Templates for Success, we studied the usage of project-level local templates as a blueprint to successfully launch new projects. In this chapter, we will focus on using global templates to share custom reports.
