Accessing and modifying the workflow
We saw the importance of workflows in Chapter 2, Working with Project Templates, and we explored how to access them in Chapter 3, Creating Your First Project. Now we will learn how to make changes to the workflow and how that affects the board.
As a review, you must be a project administrator or a Jira administrator to be able to make changes to the workflow used by the project. If the workflow is shared across multiple projects, you must be a Jira administrator to alter the shared workflow.
We will see how to share a workflow across multiple projects later in this section. For our initial purposes here, we will assume the workflow attached to the project is the original workflow created when we created the project and that it is not connected to any other project. Perform the following steps:
