GATP basic methods
SAP APO provides basic and advanced methods to check ATP when a sales order is created. Here, in this section, we will discuss the basic methods. Most companies implement basic ATP methods to find out about availability based on what inventory is on hand plus the total cost. Based on the inventory position, the system proposes a date as to when the product will be available to deliver to the customer. There are three types of basic ATP methods, which are as follows:
- Product availability check
- Product allocation check
- Check against forecast
