Chapter 9: Process Builder – Workflow Evolution
With the Spring 2015 platform release, the Salesforce platform released Process Builder to enhance a useful yet old process automation tool that was (and is actually still) widely used among Salesforce devmins, Workflow Rules.
With a process, you could do everything with Workflow Rules (seen in previous chapters), such as executing actions based on triggering conditions on a given Salesforce object instantly or with a time dependency, but with a more appealing and modern UI and many more available action types.
