Summary
In this chapter, we've learned the basics of Custom Settings and Custom Metadata Types management to deliver a customized and effective approach to store configuration parameters.
Putting together everything we've seen about custom object setups, we've understood how to manage these configuration types and use them within formulas such as validation rules or default values, to grant us a way to create dynamic configurations that won't require us to change formulas' algorithms if the referenced constants changes over time.
In the next chapter, we'll close this section by introducing the Salesforce sharing model, to bring an efficient data sharing model in the "who can see what" paradigm, unleashing profiles and permission sets, org-wide default sharing, and sharing rules.
