Understanding the PSA core entities

As we have seen with the other modules, certain entities are shared across functional applications. PSA is no exception, and it is tightly integrated with the Sales module. As such, the core Account and Contact entities are common, as well as the core Leads, Opportunities, and Quotes entities. We'll look at these entities in detail in the subsequent sections.

Accounts and Contacts

Accounts and Contacts are leveraged across the entire Dynamics family of products. In this application, the Accounts are renamed to Customers to make it more specific to how this entity is related to the functionality.

When using the PSA application in conjunction with the other applications in the family, the specific records are shared across all applications. As such, Accounts that are created in the Sales application are reflected in the Customer records in PSA.
