Summary
In this chapter, we’ve learned about Dataverse environments and how they are related to F&O when the link between them is configured. We’ve also seen that in the future, the old way of doing things with LCS is getting phased out and it’ll be all about PPAC. This change will be important for consultants in this space because they need to get the hang of using PPAC for everything, from setting up to managing these environments.
In PPAC, we’ve got a bunch of tools at our fingertips. We can see details of each environment, such as its URL and type, check which Dynamics 365 apps are installed, tweak settings, back up and restore, and even delete environments if we need to.
We’ve also seen we have the default environment in Dataverse. Everyone has access to it, which can be a bit risky, especially since you can’t back it up in PPAC. So, if you’re just messing around or testing, better ask your admin to set you up with a different...
