The assembly edit
The assembly edit in iMovie for macOS works just the same as you’ve come to expect: select your videos from the Project media folder and add them to the timeline using keyboard shortcuts such as E (append to the end of the project), and viewing shortcuts such as ⌘ + = and ⇧ + Z. Place the Berlin clips in whatever order you feel works best for telling the story of the trip. Maybe you want to split the video into scenes, by location. Or maybe, you want to put all day clips first and night clips second, so the video feels like watching a day unfold. So long as it’s coherent, it’s really up to you. Also, remember that you don’t have to – and shouldn’t – use every clip provided in the Berlin album.
