There are many network components and topologies (layouts) that we need to know about to maintain a secure environment. We are going to look at each of these in turn. We need to know how each device is configured and which device is the most appropriate in different scenarios. We will look at firewalls, the main job of which is to prevent unauthorized access to the network.
