Creating the suspension and wheels
In this section, we will create the wheels and suspension to attach them to the hull, using the basic shapes that we created before:
- Select all the wheel cylinders:
- Set Pivot Point to Individual Origins and scale all the shapes by a factor of
0.2
.
This will make it easier for us to work on this area while keeping the wheels as placeholders.
- Create a cylinder with extruded and rounded edges on four sides as shown in the following screenshot:
- Place this shape in front of the first wheel. This will be the base of the suspension arm:
- Use simple shapes created by circles and cylinders to model the suspension arm and add some screws:
