Summary
As we worked through this chapter, we were able to get a glimpse into how we can further develop custom utility network catalogs, this time using Infrastructure Parts Editor. This tool is a bit more advanced than Content Catalog Editor and also supports both gravity and pressurized utility networks. We have the ability to import content developed using Autodesk Inventor and apply a multitude of values to parameters embedded in the parts that are imported. This methodology of creating custom parts allows us to simplify our approach a bit more in the sense that we can theoretically develop one part that can accommodate multiple sizes of that given part. If we used Content Catalog Editor, we would need to model each individual size part that we would wish to incorporate into our utility catalogs and designs.
