Configuring managed environments

Activating an environment to be a managed environment is an easy task.

Navigate to the PPAC, select the environment in the list of environments, and press Enable Managed Environments.

On the upcoming side pane, select the configurations you’d like to and confirm by pressing Enable. There are already quite a few possibilities (such as Solution Checker enforcement or Usage insights) and Microsoft is adding more and more features to managed environments at the moment.

Depending on the Dataverse version your environment is running on, you can switch back and forth between the environment being managed and not. For older versions, it is not possible to deactivate it. Only through a support ticket can you find out which version the Dataverse is.
