Managing space in SwiftUI
Nobody likes to look at views that are just crammed together without any space between them. In visual design, empty space is just as important and is used to give “air” and “breathing space” to the content.
Many modifiers in SwiftUI implement the View protocol and accept an input view returning another modified view.
The space-controlling modifiers are among the most commonly used modifiers and can be used with all kinds of SwiftUI views. We will go over these commonly used modifiers in this section and also learn how they work.
Note
For your convenience, Xcode offers a list containing all the views and modifiers that you can use, allowing you to drag and drop them onto the canvas or the code panels. Just click the Library button to display this list.
