Chapter 10. Performing Hyper-V Backup and Recovery
This is the last chapter of this book, where we will discuss Hyper-V virtual machine backup and recovery. This discussion on backup and recovery will not include the Hyper-V Replica feature, which was introduced in Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V and was covered in Chapter 3, but instead of this we will cover other traditional methods for backing up Hyper-V virtual machines' configuration files and virtual machine storage.
We will divide this chapter into three major areas. In the first area, we will go through the different Hyper-V backup methodologies available around us, and what we have been using from the past till today. This section will include an overview of Hyper-V virtual machine backup methodologies from the very basic options to the advanced ones.
