Sharing a single application in a meeting
There may be times when you only want to share a single application rather than your entire desktop. For example, I run several applications simultaneously, such as Microsoft Word, Google Slides, and a web browser. If I were to share my desktop my meeting attendees would see all these applications at the same time, probably not very helpful if I just want to present a Google Slides deck for a presentation. Zoom can share a single application from any desktop. It’s pretty cool.
How to do it…
- Start or join a Zoom meeting.
- Navigate to the Share Screen icon on your Meetings Control bar.
- From the Basic share screen window, you see all the applications that you have open on your computer. In the following example, I am running Microsoft Word, Acrobat Reader, and Microsoft PowerPoint. I have chosen to share just my Microsoft PowerPoint application by clicking on it.
