Technical requirements

In addition to the software that is needed to design and prepare your models for production, you will also need access to a 3D printer to manufacture your projects. To manufacture the box that we are making in this chapter, a wide range of rigid materials could be used for 3D printing, such as PLA, PETG, or ABS, as discussed in Chapter 10.

You may also want to incorporate graphics or images into your design as we will be discussing later in this chapter. As initially introduced in Chapter 8, you can use programs such as Google Drawings or Vectr to make your own images that can be imported, or you can browse image repositories such as SVG Repo to find ones to use in your design.
