Using forms and newsletter signups
Forms are a critical part of any website, creating a means of communication between the person who manages the website and the people using it. Forms can be used to receive messages, such as a contact form, and to collect information in the case of a newsletter signup. Setting up a form entails three basic steps: editing content, styling forms and newsletters, and connecting a source.
Editing content
To begin, select the Form or Newsletter block to add it to your page. Once the block has been added to your site, you can click the pencil icon in the block mini-menu or double-click on the block to open the block editor.
Select Edit Form Fields to open your form builder. You’ll see the name, email, and message to begin. Select Edit to reorder or delete form fields, and Add New to view the full menu of available field types (see Figure 7.8).
