In this chapter, you have learned how the LeSS approach implements Scrum at scale in the development of Large Products. The LeSS framework provides the structure to manage between three and eight Scrum teams, while LeSS Huge provides the structure necessary to manage eight or more teams.
Beyond the addition of Requirements Areas in LeSS Huge, LeSS does not try to change the basic roles, artifacts, and events of Scrum. Rather the goal is to maintain the simplicity of Scrum at scale. Adding complexity through new roles, artifacts, and events or maintaining hierarchical and bureaucratic organizational structures are antithetical to the values and principles of Agile, and not in alignment with the goal to create an innovative organization.
