Scheduling an RMAN backup

OEM12c is a centralized management tool with its own repository that is able to monitor and manage target hosts by the deployment of an OEM12c agent on it. From this centralized console, you will be able to easily run or schedule any RMAN or even Data Pump operations without the need to manually connect to each target server in question to run it, saving you a lot of effort and time. It also monitors the jobs and generates an alert to warn you in case of any job failure. When using OEM12c to schedule a backup operation, you can choose between the two options available:

• Oracle-suggested backup

• Customized backup
