Time for action – sending a message to your students
In the Navigation block, under your course, click on Participants:
Under the list of participants, press the Select All button.
Click on the With selected users... drop-down menu and select Send a message from the list:
Type your message into the message box:
Take a look at the currently selected users list at the bottom of the page. You can remove users you accidentally selected on the previous screen by pressing the Remove button next to their name. Note that I'm purposefully sending the message to myself. If one of my students claims they haven't received it and I have, then I know it's not a problem with Moodle.
When you are happy with your message, press the Preview button.
If you want to make changes, press the Update button. If you are happy then press Send.
That's it. We're done!
