Describe data classification capabilities
In Chapter 13, Compliance Management Capabilities in Microsoft, we described how the Microsoft 365 compliance center provides guidance for governance and compliance of Microsoft 365 solutions. This included walking through Microsoft Compliance Manager and how implementing solutions can impact and improve your company's compliance score. This chapter will describe some of those solutions, starting with data classification.
To access the solutions for the Microsoft 365 compliance center, navigate to https://compliance.microsoft.com. In the menu on the left, you will see the solutions. Data classification is directly below Microsoft Compliance Manager on the list. Select Data classification to explore your options.
When the Microsoft 365 compliance center portal opens, you may be prompted for a quick guided tour of the portal, as shown in Figure 14.1:
