Balancing Resource Utilization
A fundamental element of virtualization with VMware vSphere is the ability to increase the utilization of your computing resources within a single physical host. vSphere accomplishes this by letting you run multiple instances of a guest operating system (OS) on a single physical host in virtual machines (VMs). However, it is also about getting better resource utilization across multiple physical hosts, and that means workload mobility between hosts to balance the resource utilization. vSphere offers several powerful features to help administrators balance resource utilization in the modern data center.
