In this chapter, the final one, we take a deep dive into the world of digital identity as it evolves in the context of the groundbreaking Web 3.0 (Web3) paradigm. This chapter provides a comprehensive understanding of the changes Web3 will bring to digital identity and authentication, discussing the implications of these transformations for security, privacy, and user experience. Digital identity must also evolve to support human and machine interaction in this new world. As a result, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) data (referenced in Chapter 1) will become even more relevant and unique.
