Salesforce objects

Salesforce Platform is a product that you may use with little to no customization, provided that what the CRM provides as built-in features are enough for your business requirements.

This applies to data models as well: Salesforce comes with some pre-built models, called Salesforce objects, which are standard data structures that Salesforce scientists came up with after years of experience in the sales and service domain.

Jump to the developer org we created in the previous chapter, click on the App Launcher, and select the Sales app as pictured:

Tip

Feel free to play around with the other apps to make yourself comfortable with the Salesforce user interface.

The first thing you'll notice is the abundance of tabs that you can browse:
