F&O Business events, our workflow trigger
In the previous chapter, we learned about the Power Automate triggers that we can use for F&O, business events, and data events. Based on a small comparison, we concluded that using data events is the best decision.
Now forget about that! That conclusion was based on insert, update, or delete operations at the table level, but for this chapter, we’re going to use the workflow business events because they’re available out of the box in the catalog and cover all the needs to solve the scenario of approving Dynamics 365 F&O workflows in Teams or email.
Workflow business events
The business event we’ll be using is the one called Purchase requisition review (000062) - Approve purchase requisitions in the category Workflow workitem (see Figure 4.1):
