Management Overview
The approach to managing SASE should be novel when compared to previous systems. For many years, IT professionals have striven to create effective management systems, ultimately finding the solution elusive. Today, taking lessons learned from the telecommunications service providers, we leverage the concept of service orchestration beyond manufacturer-specific tools. Service orchestration is not new but is commonly misrepresented in marketing language to drive revenue.
For the purposes of SASE management, each manufacturer provides one or more orchestrators, element managers, management tools, or other systems for the purpose of managing one or more SASE services. The challenge presented here is that many organizations may have several dozen SASE services in production requiring separate orchestration. The complexity of service management and the need to implement solutions in real time are the two primary reasons for outsourcing SASE management.
