VMM troubleshooting

While VMM covers three different vendors (Microsoft, VMWare, and OpenStack), there is still a basic troubleshooting methodology appropriate to all three. The first step would be to make sure that we have connectivity between the APIC and the target system.

How to do it...

Firstly, we can make sure that the hypervisor connectivity is working, using the show <hypervisor> domain command, where the hypervisor is either vmware or microsoft:

apic1# show vmware domain

We can drill into the domain by specifying it in the same command:
