Summary
In this chapter, we learned about Check Point’s clustering solutions, specifically ClusterXL HA. We had an opportunity to test it using manual and “realistic” failover scenarios and observe different state changes. We learned about a few common commands that are used for cluster operations and diagnostics. Additionally, other clustering options for HA and load sharing were discussed, highlighting their respective shortcomings and advantages.
In the next chapter, we will cover troubleshooting workflows, along with complementary tools and resources. Additionally, we will address the handling of communications with the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) in order to ensure the timely resolution of problems.
