Summary
In part one of this chapter, we created a realistic ground under our wood cabin and we learned how to use the Proportional Editing tool to add nice undulation to the ground. Then, we went through the process of creating, unwrapping, and texturing different types of plants and leaves.
Next, we learned how to use the particle system to scatter objects on a surface. In this case, we scattered plants and leaves all over the ground. We learned how to tweak the particle system settings, such as randomizing the scale and rotation of plants and controlling their quantity.
In this chapter, you’ve learned how to create a realistic natural scene with various plants and leaves in Blender. You’ve also learned how to model, texture, and place different types of plants in your environment. You’ve seen how to use the particle system in Blender to generate random plants in your scene.
