Introduction

vSphere components securely communicate through SSL. This ensures security, compliance, and integrity of the data exchanged across the components. With vSphere 6.x onwards, most of the certificate management tasks have been natively integrated in the vSphere Certificate Manager utility, thereby greatly reducing external dependency to manage certificates. In this chapter, we will discuss the different capabilities and workflows associated with managing vSphere certificates.
