Multisite solutions

A View solution that spans multiple sites is fairly typical. College campuses, large corporations, and even small businesses, may have requirements to deliver vDesktops from more than one physical location.

In these scenarios, there are a few qualifying questions to ask the organization. They are as follows:

  • Should the desktop experience be unique for each end user?

    Essentially, should end user persona be saved to include changes to the desktop environment, customizations to applications, and so on?

  • If the answer to the preceding question is a yes, should the user persona be consistent across all the sites?

    For example, if Liliana logs in to Site_A and makes modifications to her desktop, should those settings be reflected if Liliana were to log in to the VDI at Site_B?
