Workspace customization – Studio panels
While the default arrangement of the Studio panels that ships with Affinity Designer does give us a good idea of what's available, it isn't set up ideally for anything we would want to use. The panels that are onscreen are all on the right side of the interface in what is called the Right Studio (see Chapter 1, Getting Familiar with Affinity Designer's Interface) and the application has placed a default group of panels. Some panels we may not necessarily want or need at the moment. Also, there may be some panels that are not shown that we may want to have available for use.
The panels that are onscreen in their default presentation are all nested or stacked on top of one another and that makes it difficult to identify what's available. See Figure 3.16 for a look at the default setup:
