Using meeting chat
Using your camera and mic for video and audio during a Zoom meeting is the cornerstone way to interact with meeting participants. Sharing content via a desktop or application is also a pillar of what Zoom can do. Creating whiteboards and Notes are both ways in which meeting participants can create, collaborate, and share. But sometimes, chat is the most effective way to communicate with meeting attendees before, during, or after a meeting. There are two chat methods. We will be discussing both methods in this recipe.
In-meeting chat
This chat method is only available during a meeting. This is a great option for meetings that will only happen once, or for impromptu, ad-hoc meetings that aren’t scheduled. When the meeting is over, the chat feature will end.
How to do it…
- Start or join a Zoom meeting.
- Navigate to the Chat icon on the Meeting Control bar and click on it:
