Windows 365 Frontline versus Windows 365 Enterprise
We introduced Windows 365 Frontline in Chapter 1, Introducing Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop. Let’s take a look at why companies might prefer Frontline Cloud PCs over Enterprise Cloud PCs.
Why should companies prefer Frontline Cloud PCs?
Frontline Cloud PCs have most of the features that Windows 365 Enterprise has. Both provide a PC in the cloud and are managed using Microsoft Intune. So, why would companies consider using Frontline Cloud PCs? The main reason is pretty simple – Windows 365 Frontline should be used if licensing for concurrency makes more sense when compared to using a license for each individual user, to save costs.
The best way to explain this is by looking at a couple of examples. I made the following assumptions for these examples:
