Windows 365 as a replacement for on-premise VDI
An on-premise VDI solution enables companies to deploy virtual desktops to their users. These desktops can be reached via the internet to enable work remotely or locally from the network. If the on-premise VDI solution is reaching its replacement date or doesn’t support the features that the company needs, IT admins will have to decide what’s next. Do they either expand on the current solution or is there a better solution?
Why is Windows 365 a good alternative to an on-premise VDI?
Having an on-premise VDI solution can be very complex to manage in terms of licensing, support contracts, and finding IT admins with expert knowledge to make sure that the VDI solution works as designed. In addition, it can become quite tricky to expand on new(er) features, such as implementing Microsoft Teams to allow users to collaborate with each other via video calls.
