A demonstration and early feedback
With the popularity of the agile methodology of project management, it has become inevitable to show a client what is going on behind the scenes. You may share status reports verbally for a couple of meetings, but at some point, clients may want to see what is being cooked up by your developers. For this very reason, we plan demos.
Demos are a great way to provide a live status and gain insights into how a client feels about how everything is coming along. Demos help to send out the message that what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG). This gives the client an opportunity to think and make any adjustments to the project, even if minor, to suit their needs. It also satisfies the clients that they will not end up with a completely different outcome compared to what was envisioned at the beginning.
