There’s a phrase in marketing called “building your marketing runway,” which refers to creating the set of materials you need to be able to execute any marketing strategy. Let’s spend some time and highlight the needed marketing infrastructure an open source project should have as part of its “marketing runway.”
Website and blog
The most basic need a project has is a home on the internet. For large projects, a visually appealing website that helps illustrate what the project is, predominant use cases, and who is using it are the basic things a project website should provide.
