Making use of user-centric improvements
The user-centric model introduced in CM12 enables you to target users and devices better than ever. Note that it is still perfectly acceptable to deploy to systems (such as software updates, for example), but in a world where users work with several devices, user-centric model became even more important by offering software to users through Software Center or a web catalog instead of targeting only a specific device.
If you are currently using CM12, you might think "sounds like there's nothing new about that user-centric model". I won't tell you that everything has changed but you will be happy to hear that the user experience has been greatly improved in CM Current Branch. For instance, thanks to the new Software Center (SC), device targeted and user targeted applications both appear in the same SC.
