Describe capabilities of the Azure AI Speech service

The Azure AI capability of speech recognition is provided by the Azure AI Speech service.

The Azure AI Speech service provides a set of tools and APIs for incorporating speech recognition and speech synthesis capabilities into applications. These capabilities enable developers to build applications that can understand and generate human-like speech and enable them to convert spoken language into written text and vice versa.

The capabilities of the Azure AI Speech service are as follows:

• Speech-to-text
• Text-to-speech

Speech-to-text is the speech recognition capability of the Speech service and can be used to transcribe audible speech-to-text.

Text-to-speech is the speech synthesis capability of the Speech service and can be used to generate audible speech from text.

Transcription in more than 60 languages is supported by the Speech service.
