Summary
In this chapter, we discussed the new WaaS model for delivering Windows, including the feature updates, quality updates, servicing channels, and deployment rings. Understanding the deployment methodology is important from both the MS-900 exam perspective as well as the real-world management perspective.
Additionally, we introduced Windows Virtual Desktop, now referred to as Azure Virtual Desktop, or AVD. We covered the benefits of AVD and how some business needs may be served best with this service.
Then, we covered some of the features of the Microsoft 365 admin center, including the various security roles and basic administrator tasks. Finally, we took a tour of the Microsoft 365 end user interface so you can understand how users will see and interact with the service.
