In this chapter, we have learned some of the important aspects of network and data security in the Hadoop ecosystem. We have seen some important concepts of masking and filtering with respect to data security. One thing we have to understand here is that there are different tools and frameworks available to achieve the different security methods in Hadoop. However, you should evaluate these carefully with respect to the security features you want to achieve.
In the next chapter, we will focus on how we do monitoring in Hadoop and what the monitoring systems for security are. We will also look into monitoring in the world of growing data.
