Managing backdrop assets

You don’t have to create textures, gradients, and patterns every time you need to utilize them; you can download and import them or store them in Creative Cloud Libraries.

Syncing your assets between devices

Photoshop recently added the ability to sync your user-created brushes, gradients, swatches, styles, shapes, and patterns, making them available wherever you log in with your Creative Cloud account:

1. Go to Photoshop Preferences on macOS via Photoshop → Preferences → General, or on Windows, via Edit → Preferences → General. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + K (Windows) or Cmd + K (macOS) to launch the preferences and reveal the General settings.
2. Turn on the checkbox for Preset Syncing (A in Figure 9.14), and then click OK to exit Preferences, at which point you will see a message informing you that your assets will sync to Creative Cloud. This may take a few moments to complete, due to the potential file...
