Summary
This chapter introduced all types of objects in Nagios. You can now configure the actual hosts, services, contacts, and appropriate groups that match your infrastructure and resources that should be monitored.

We have also covered how to validate the configuration and how the notification system works.
Chapter 4, Using the Built-in Web interface will cover how to use the Nagios standard web interface to view status of hosts and services. You will also learn how to schedule downtimes of hosts and services, add comments as well as generate reports.
