In this chapter, we've taken a brief tour of the D ecosystem. We've seen a few web sites that can help in your D journey, discussed DMD a little more in-depth, seen some other useful tools, and gotten a glimpse into the DUB registry and how to make use of it.

In the next chapter, we take a look in detail at a feature of D that enables it to make use of an even wider world of existing software: its ability to communicate directly with libraries that know how to speak C.
