Quants
A quant is the quantity of a material within the same batch of a single storage bin. A quant with the same material but a different batch is typically stored in a different storage bin. You can add or remove the material in the quant using goods movement.
When the goods are stored in the storage bin, the system creates some quants and assigns a quant number automatically. When the material is picked completely, the system deletes the quant number. The following are parts of the quant that group the material:
- Quant identification
- Plant
- Material number
- Batch number
- Stock category
- Special stock indicator and number.
You can display a quant by going to SAP Menu | Logistics | Logistics Execution | Internal Warehouse Processes | Bins and Stock | Display | Single Displays | LS23 – Quant.
